About The Owner

Meet Steve

Owner Of Done Right Construction

Before we tell you about the contractor, we think you should know a little about the person you're trusting with your home.

Greene, Maine Steve · On Site

Steve is a husband, dad, coach, gardener, and the kind of person who has always preferred building something with his hands over sitting still for too long.

Coach, Neighbor, Dad

Known Around Greene Long Before The Job Site.

Around Greene, you may already know him from the sidelines or the basketball court. Steve serves as Director of the Greene Youth Athletic Association's basketball program and coaches youth basketball and baseball. He loves being part of the community his family calls home and, more than anything, getting to be involved in the things his son loves.

More Than A Dozen Varieties
And Then There Are The Lilies

A Builder With A Green Thumb.

Steve genuinely loves his garden and has collected more than a dozen varieties of lilies over the years. So while he can absolutely talk to you about framing, decks, and renovations, don't be surprised if a conversation about your project somehow turns into comparing gardens along the way.

For Steve, local isn't a service area. It's home.

It's where he and his wife, Nichole, are raising their family. It's where he coaches, works, shops, volunteers, and runs into familiar faces. The people Done Right serves aren't customers in some far-off market. They're neighbors, other parents, local business owners, and people Steve will probably see again long after the tools have been packed up.

And that matters to him.

Why Done Right Began

It Didn't Start With A Toolbelt. It Started With A House.

Steve has spent 16 years working in the trades, with experience ranging from roofing to working as an electrician's helper and plenty in between. Building has always come naturally to him.

But Done Right Construction didn't begin simply because Steve knew how to build.

It began because he knew what it felt like to be the homeowner.

In 2022, Steve and Nichole bought a house that needed to be completely gutted and rebuilt. This wasn't an investment property or a house they planned to flip. It was the house they were trying to turn into a home for their family.

Like a lot of Maine families, they both worked full time. They had a budget, a plan, and only so many hours in a day. Hiring a contractor wasn't about whether Steve knew how to do the work himself. It was about trusting a professional to do the job they had hired them to do.

Their first contractor completed the demolition and then walked away—with a significant portion of their renovation budget.

They picked themselves back up, tried again, and ran into more challenges with the professionals they hired.

Eventually, Steve finished the house himself.

But the experience stayed with him.

Steve already understood construction. What he understood differently now was the homeowner on the other side of it—the person handing someone the keys to their home, investing money they worked hard for, making decisions for their family, and trusting that the person they hired is going to show up tomorrow.

He knew what it felt like when that trust was broken.

That experience became the foundation of Done Right Construction.

For Steve, the name is personal. It represents what he and Nichole had been looking for themselves: someone who communicates, follows through, takes pride in their work, and understands the responsibility that comes with being trusted inside someone else's home.

The Promise At The Core

It's Why We Offer Our Owner On-Site Guarantee.

When you hire Done Right Construction, Steve isn't simply the name on the company or the person who gives you an estimate. He is actively involved in your project and present on your job site.

Because he remembers exactly what it felt like to wonder whether the person you trusted with your home was going to show up.
Owner On Every Job
More Than A Name On A Trailer

Your Name Goes On A Lot More Than The Side Of A Trailer.

And when you build a business in your own community, your name goes on a lot more than the side of a trailer.

It goes on your work.

It goes on the back of a kid's jersey. It goes on the local project you helped sponsor. It follows you to the ball field, the grocery store, school events, and all the ordinary places where neighbors become familiar faces.

To Steve, that means something.

It's also why he works hard to partner with other local professionals who call this place home—people who share the same values, take pride in their work, and care about the people who trust them with their homes.

Because Done Right isn't just a business operating in this community.

It's another piece of it.

Built To Last

At The Heart Of It, You'll Always Find Steve.

Done Right may be growing, but at the heart of it, you'll always find Steve.

As the company grows, so will the team you meet here. New faces, new skills, and new people who bring something of their own to what we're building. But Steve is intentional about who gets to wear the Done Right name, work alongside him, and walk into a customer's home.

Because growth was never the goal just for the sake of getting bigger.

The goal is to build something worth growing.

A company rooted here. A team of people who care about their work and their neighbors. A business that creates good local jobs, supports other local professionals, gives back to the community that supports it, and never gets so big that we forget why it started in the first place.

When Steve Walks Through Your Door

You're Not Just Meeting A Contractor.

You're meeting a husband and dad. A coach. A guy who really loves lilies. A tradesman with 16 years of experience. A local business owner whose name means something to him.

And a homeowner who has stood exactly where you're standing.

Steve is the heart behind Done Right. And one project, one relationship, and one neighbor at a time, he's building something bigger around it.
